Photo courtesy of Adele Stenson Blazing Arrows 4-H hosted the Marias Fair Shoot on Jan. 19 at the old Shelby Middle School. Fifty-Nine shooters attended from Pondera, Toole, Liberty, and Blackfeet. Shooters shot 10 rounds of three arrows for score for their Marias Fair entries. Results are as follows: Freestyle 13-14 yrs: 1st Dontrell Hall (B), 2nd Brandon DeCarlo (B). Freestyle 15 and up: 1st Brad Brenteson (P), 2nd Rob Brenteson (P). Unlimited 9-10 yr: 1st Skylar Stenson (P); 2nd Shawn Skartved (T); 3rd Lane Gates (T). Unlimited 11-12 yr: 1st Alissa Hershey (T), 2nd Cameron Richmond (T), Kramer Potack (T). Unlimited 13-14 yr: 1st Colt Harris (P), 2nd Becky Flesch(T), 3rd Dylan Gates (T). Unlimited 15 and up: 1st Collin Augare (B). Limited 9-10 yr: 1st MaKenna Daniels (T), 2nd Brandon Bill (T). Limited 11-12 yr: 1st Marshal Ray (B), 2nd Jade Breding (P), 3rd Kayla Hall (B). Barebow 9-10 yr: 1st Erin Wolf (L), 2nd Quinten Omdahl (T), 3rd Tommy Iron Pipe (B). Barebow 11-12 yr: 1st Cody Ward (T), 2nd Phillip Juneau (B), 3rd Cydnie Sharp (B). Barebow 13-14 yr: 1st Megan Burchak (T), 2nd tied were Douglas Hall (B), Collin Johnson (B). Barebow 15 and up: 1st Marty Woolf (B), 2nd Kristen Hall (B). Primitive 9-10 yr: 1st Logan Garman (P), 2nd Erin Wolf (L) 3rd Shawn Skartved (T). Primitive 11-12 yr: 1st Kaylee Taulee (P). Primitive 13-14 yr: 1st Moranda Brenteson (P). Ribbons will be awarded to participants at the Marias Fair in July. The three top shooters in each category will receive medals which will also be awarded at the fair in July. Casey Ward was the winner of the remote controlled Hummer donated by Northcentral Wholesale.
