Conrad High School received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support the school’s Computer/Technology Program.
Darlene Matheson of the Conrad Town Pump worked with school officials to secure the grant, which is one of 4,000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations.
The grants are made possible by funding from the ExxonMobil Corporation.
“Town Pump is proud to be part of the efforts by CHS to continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities to the young people of Conrad,” said Wendy Willason who presented the check to CHS student Andrew Lehnerz and CHS Principal Ken Larson on Wednesday morning.
The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to local schools.
ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of support.
Town Pump met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded this grant including having a recognized commitment to provide a superior buying experience for customers.
Maureen Kenneally, spokesperson from the Town Pump Corporate office added, “We are grateful to ExxonMobil for their continuing support and commitment in Montana.”
She went on to say, “Statewide we have been awarded $31,000 in Educational Alliance grants for Town Pump Exxon schools. Through our commitment to excellence we can continue our long running tradition of being of service and giving back to our community.”
