By Buck Traxler, I-O Editor
One of the best social gatherings of the year, the Conrad Area Chamber of Commerce 43rd annual banquet will take place at Norley Hall on March 26.
Break out your Aloha shirts, the theme is going to be “Tropical Paradise” for the evening.
There will be a social hour beginning at 6 p.m. with dinner starting at 7 p.m. The Coaches Corner will cater the affair, offering up a beef pot roast, rosemary potatoes, almond green beans and  cheese cake for dessert.
Taylor Brown, widely known as one of the nation’s leaders of Ag broadcasting and possibly one of the most recognized voices in the intermountain west will be the keynote speaker.
Born in Sheridan, Wyo., he grew up on a family cattle ranch in eastern Montana near Sand Springs.
He attended school in Lewistown where he was active in FFA and later earned a BS degree in Agriculture from MSU-Bozeman. While there he served as the student body president of Montanan’s largest university.
Brown became a member of the Northern Broadcasting System as a regional reporter in 1979. Today, he is the owner and heads a team that every market day produces over three-dozen news, market, weather, and sports information programs for over 80 affiliated radio stations in six states.
In addition there are two daily Ag television programs that are seen on nine Montana and Wyoming TV stations.
