Do you see your children as Robin Hood, the Sheriff of Nottingham or Maid Marion? Perhaps Friar Tuck or some of the Merry Men! The Missoula Children’s Theatre, supported by the Pondera Arts Council, will be holding auditions for these and other parts in their production of Robin Hood next week. Casting starts at 3:30 p.m. March 3 at Meadowlark School. Rehearsals will be held through next week, with two performances on March 8 at 3 and 7 p.m. Married with children, children, children! Tour directors Brian and Allison Epperson will be supervising casting and producing the MCT production of Robin Hood. They have been touring with the MCT for the past five years, totally enthralled with the theatre and their life style, although few if any newly wed couples would bargain on having as many children in their lives as this talented couple. Brian Epperson is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Arts in playwriting and a Bachelor of Arts in theatre from East Central University in Ada, Okla. Allison is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where the couple first met, and has a strong background in theatre. Both will have a busy week in Conrad casting for their production, assembling stage scenery and props, arranging lighting and rehearsing all their actors in their many and varied roles. Then it’s off to the next town where the entire exercise will repeat with an entirely new cast of children. If variety is the spice of life, the Eppersons have a rich and flavorsome life indeed! Robin Hood offers Conrad children a chance to step on stage and discover their acting talents. There are approximately 50 stage positions to be filled. All applications will be considered, however, an application is not a guarantee of acceptance, so kids, wear a big bright smile and a happy outlook, and be at the auditions on Monday at 3:30.
