Even though the fights were going the distance, the action moved right along and in no time the fifth of 12 fights had Colby “Boom Boom” Johnson of Conrad and Kameron “Heavy Hands” Heptner of Shelby facing each other.
Johnson put together a series of body punches and a couple of shots that snapped Heptner’s head back in winning a unanimous 3-0 decision.
Round six had Jeremy “Hot Hands” Strong of Great Falls taking a win over David “McDemon” McDough of Shelby.
Conrad’s Aaron “The Red Barron” Lehnerz took on Bret “Bring It On” Wanken of Shelby who won a 3-0 decision.
For the second year, there were two ladies on the card, this year both from Shelby.
Whitney “I Wouldn’t Hit Me” Ellis and Amber “Striker” Stricchio danced around the ring and each landed a couple of solid shots, but this match ended in a majority draw.
Possibly the best fight of the evening followed the women, with Ryan “Hit Man” Hart of Shelby and Tim “The tool Man” Welch of Great Falls going after each other.
Both boxers landed some solid shots and while waiting for the judges decision to come up to Goodan, the crowd was chanting, “One more round,” over and over.
That wasn’t to be however, and Hart took a split decision win.
Blake “The Snake” Murry of Choteau then won a 3-0 decision of Kyle “Don’t Make Me smile” Rummell of Havre.
Boyd “Iron Hands” Matheson of Conrad and John “Return to Sender” Postmas of Shelby had the next to last fight on the card and this bout may have had the biggest cheers of the night.
Matheson clipped the nose of Postma, which sent blood all over him, in winning a split decision.
The last bout of the evening pitted Chris “Buzz Saw” Buskirk of Havre against Zach “Pretty Boy” Deffinback of Great Falls.
Buskirk came on to win a 3-0 decision in the battle of heavyweights.
