Photo courtesy of Kim Hofstad The Conrad golf teams had a busy week on the courses as the season comes to a close. Their big tourney came on Monday as they played in the 1B Divisional meet in Shelby. With a consistent performance the Cowgirls placed second. Team scores and places went like this: Cut Bank 382, Conrad 402, Fort Benton 409, Malta 444, Choteau 455, Wolf Point 469, Plentywood 472, Fairfield 481, Glasgow 493, Harlem 507. Conrad placed three players in the top 10, Jenny Silvernale was in seventh at 97, Kenley King eighth at 99, Cassie Peters was 10th with a 103, Andrea Spicher 11th at 104 and Kylee Schlepp shot a 111, placing 18th. On the boys’ side, the Cowboys placed fourth. Team scores went this way: Malta 314, Fairfield 315, Shelby 339, Conrad 347, Cut Bank 356, Fort Benton 370, Glasgow 374, Plentywood 380, Wolf Point 381, Choteau 387, Harlem 428. Nate Gage fashioned a round of four over par, 76, to capture fourth place. Lane Judisch shot an 86 to take 16th, Rhett Orcutt fired an 89 to come in at 23rd, Kyle Ellis was 31st with a 96 and Brad Brenteson had a 103 to take 44th. On April 28 the teams were in Cut Bank for a nine-hole triangle meet with the Wolves and Shelby teams. The Cowgirls placed first with a 191, three strokes ahead of Cut Bank. Shelby had only three players and didn’t post a team score. Silvernale and King led the squad tying for second with 46s. Danni Johnson of Cut Bank placed first. Schlepp was fifth with a 49, Peters took sixth with a 50 and Andrea Spicher placed 11th at 55. For the Cowboys, their score of 180 placed them in third behind Cut Bank’s 171 and Shelby’s 174. Judisch and Gage were in a four-way tie for third, posting scores of 82. Jon Coryell of Cut Bank led the tourney with a 38 followed by Jake Robison of Shelby at 41. Other Conrad scores were: Orcutt 48, Ellis 50, Brad Brenteson 48, Wyeld Converse 45, Joe O’Brien 49, and Ramsey Offerdal 45.
