Golf teams get good scores at PGC tourney |

Photo courtesy of Kim Hofstad Friday the Conrad golf team hosted its invitational tournament, which had 66 golfers out on the course on a windy, cool day. In a bit of irony, the Cowboys placed second by one shot to Cut Bank and the Cowgirls defeated Cut Bank by one stroke for team honors. Lane Judisch put together a fine round of 74 to win medalist honors. He was six strokes better than the second place golfer, Taylor Ratliff of Fairfield. Ryan Riewer was the only other Cowboy in the top 10, tying for ninth with Hunter LeMeiux of Cut Bank at 87. Team places and scores went like this: Cut Bank 344, Conrad 345, Shelby 354, Fairfield 371, and Sunburst 374. Nathan Gage shot a 90, Rhett Orcutt a 94 and Jace Moon a 98. Meanwhile, the Cowgirls placed three golfers in the top 10 and edged Cut Bank for team honors, 421-422. Choteau was in third at 443, Valier had 456 and Centerville 471. Cassie Peters was the top Conrad player this week with a 102, good for fifth place. Jenny Silvernale was one shot back at 103 placing sixth, Kylee Schlepp took ninth with a 107 and Kenley King and Andrea Spicher came home with scores of 109 and 112 respectively. First place individual honors went to Jessica Waldner of Cut Bank with a 94. Heather Harris of Shelby was next at 95, Shannon Robbins of Cut Bank was third at 100 and Allie Brown of Centerville had a 101.
