Grizzly Day was an excellent event
GRAND MARSHALL – Charles Parocai, the oldest living resident in Dupuyer, presided over the Dupuyer parade on Grizzly Day on Saturday morning as the Grand Marshall. I-O Photo by Buck Traxler
Last year, due to area fires it was smoky and the weather was hot, causing fewer folks to attend Grizzly Day in Dupuyer.
What a turn around for this year’s celebration! No irritating smoke from the fires and not-so-hot comfortable weather made for a big increase in participation.
Presiding over the parade was Grand Marshal Charley Parocai, the oldest living resident in Dupuyer.
John and Candi Balkenbush were the first place winners of the parade.
Second place went to Jim Pemberton and third place to Russ Seubert of Shelby.
Winners at the duck race were Cyndi Johnson and Wally Bradley.
