I-O explains delay in paper, Spring Fling PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 16 April 2008
The I-O was not informed of the Spring Fling in time for us to inform the public of the celebration a week before, so that people would be aware of it.
In fact, it came about on the spur of the moment, which was confusing to both the Chamber of Commerce and the I-O.
When we got drift of it, it was a mad rush to contact advertisers in order to gather up their advertisements for the special page. Then to top it off, Shelby had a breakdown with their image setter.
We don’t know who was responsible for not informing us, but in the future it would be nice to know AHEAD of time instead of just dropping it on us like a hot potato!
I-O late due to a breakdown at Shelby Print Shop.
“Where’s my paper?” Or, “I didn’t get my paper, why?” Those were comments last Thursday morning when subscribers didn’t receive the I-O on Wednesday.
It was unfortunate, but the imagesetter in Shelby broke down and efforts to correct the problem failed. The I-O, along with the rest of the papers on the Hi-Line, ended up being printed in Great Falls late Wednesday.
I-O will have early deadline for next few weeks.
Due to a breakdown at the Shelby Promoter Print Shop, the I-O for the next three to four weeks, will have a strict deadline they must adhere to in order to get the paper out on Wednesday.
ALL news items and advertisements including cards of thanks, classifieds, display ads and photos MUST be in each Friday at 5 p.m. There will be no exceptions.
The paper will be printed in Great Falls and must be down there by early Tuesday afternoon.
We ask that you bear with us until the problem is corrected.
