The third annual jump rope for the Pondera Medical Center is well underway.
Students in grades one through eight will be out raising funds for the Pondera Medical Center and trying to win some super prizes when they call on family, friends and neighbors and ask for support of the community for this worthwhile cause.
All funds raised will be going to the PMC emergency room to help purchase a defibrillator
“We have been overwhelmed over the last two-year totals when the students in grades one to five brought in over $6,000 the first year and over $7,000 the second year,” said Carey Berzel who helps organize the annual event.
She went on to add, “With the UMS students joining in this year we are very excited to see what we can do.”
Top prizes this year will be an IPOD music player and a stereo from G&D Hardware as well as movie passes from the Orpheum Theatre-Wiegand Auditorium, games of bowling from the Branding Iron Lanes, passes for roller skating at Cranes Fun House or a bucket of balls from the Pondera Gold Club.
If you have questions or want further information regarding this event, contact Berzel at Meadowlark School, 278-5620.
