Kitchen Creek opens for business |

 Katie Kimmerling of Kitchen Creek and Company Snuggled in between city hall and the N’ Thing at 413 S. Main, Kitchen Creek and Company recently opened their doors for business. The business is owned by Rick and Katie Kimmerling along with their son Rick. They have been in the arts and crafts business for more than 37 years. Kitchen Creek offers a wide variety of hand made jewelry from ear rings and necklaces crafted by Katie to what are almost collector item buttons made by her husband Rick. On a related matter, the shop will also take in arts and crafts on consignment. Contact Katie for more information on this. The family, from Hot Springs, fell in love with Conrad during a visit to sell crafts at Whoop-Up. They are also an authorized dealer for Cobra Kayaks. There are two personnel kayaks on the floor, for a while they won’t have any in stock. “We sell them at below suggested retail,” said Katie. Their phone number is 271-2070 and the hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Katie has already been recruited to help Bonnie Poser with the Rhubarb Festival at Whoop-Up and is contacting her friends in the arts and craft business to come for Whoop-Up. An open house ceremonial CofC ribbon cutting is planned for is planned for May 5 at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
