NEW BUSINESS – Mark and Cathy DeBoo of Silvertip Photography of Valier. I-O Photo by Buck Traxler With the gentle push of her finger Cathy DeBoo smiles, and has a good feeling, knowing she has just captured a memory in time. She and her husband Mark DeBoo, who manages the family ranch southwest of Valier, have opened a home-based business, Silvertip Photography. The phone number for Silvertip Photography is 279-3633. At the present, Cathy does outdoor location photography by appointment. Mark says, “We’ve always had an interest in photography and work well together. Eventually we’d like to have a studio.” He likes photography because, “It makes you slow down and see what’s around you.” Cathy is a nurse, originally from Wyoming. She moved to Fairfield and still works in the medical field as needed in Conrad and Cut Bank. She notes that now is a really good time for the graduating Class of 2009 to have their senior pictures taken. DeBoo has several pristine and prime locations that she likes to “shoot” at, adding, “I really like working with the kids, it’s a lot of fun and we make it relaxing, not only for them but for us as well.” She strives to capture the life, beauty and memory of the moment. The couple also book weddings where “We can do a lot of candid shooting,” she says. When not working with people, Cathy likes to do macro-photography, scenics and wildlife photography. If you have questions or want further information on Silvertip Photography, contact DeBoos at 279-3633.
