Northern Transit Interlocal bus schedule PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 13 February 2008
By Buck Traxler, I-O Editor
Last week the I-O carried a story about the Northern Transit Interlocal (NTI) starting up.
This week we have the bus schedule. For those that will be using the NTI, you may want to clip and save this. If you have access to a computer and a printer, you can go to toolecountymt.gov where the schedule is also posted and download a copy for yourself.
Transportation begins on March 3. Every Monday and Thursday the NTI will provide rides to Great Falls.
Plans call for the bus to depart the Amtrak terminal at 8:35 a.m. and pick up passengers in Conrad at 9:10 a.m. at the Town Pump, 207 N. Main St. at the southeast entrance area (dining area).
It will then proceed to the Pondera Village Shopping Mall 600 S. Main, and pick up passengers at 9:20 a.m. at the north entrance lobby area of the mall.
The trip to Great Falls is about an hour in time. Passengers will be taken to the Great Falls Transit Transfer Center (GFTTC), 326 1st Ave. South where connections are available for transfer to their transit system for travel within Great Falls.
The NTI will provide transportation to scheduled medical providers.
The NTI bus will leave from the GFTTC at 1:15 p.m. and arrive back in Conrad at the Shopping Center at 2:30 p.m. and the Town Pump at 2:40 p.m.
On Thursday, the NTI will pick up passengers in Conrad at the Town Pump and Shopping Center at 1:10 and 1:20 p.m. respectively.
The bus will arrive at the GFTTC about 2:35 p.m. and depart from there at 5:10 p.m., arriving back in Conrad at 6:25 p.m. at the mall and 6:35 at the Town Pump.
Another feature of the NTI is that it will also provide transportation to the Great Falls International Airport. You will need to call (406) 470-0727 to arrange service in advance.
The NTI bus has wheelchair access available on all routes.
The Northern Transit Interlocal is providing this service to the general public at no cost, however, donations are accepted.
Reservations are also required for this trip. Call the above number by 4 p.m. the day before you plan to travel to Kalispell.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the NTI bus will be making a trip to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.
For this trip, the bus does not come to Conrad. It will pick up passengers at the Shelby Amtrak Station at 7 a.m., making additional stops in Cut Bank and Browning.
It will arrive in KRMC at 10:15 a.m. and depart at 3 p.m. getting back to Shelby about 6:15 p.m.
If you have questions or need more information, contact Deb Brandon at (406) 424-8403. She is NTI’s Interim Coordinator.
