VIOLIN SOLO – Madison Hoggan, age eight, really “wowed” the crowd with her play of the violin at the annual Lawrence Welk party at the PMC-Extended Care Unit on Friday. She was accompanied on the piano by her mother Melanie. Resident council meets the last Wednesday of each month and it is the council that chooses who will be recognized at our party. September’s birthday party celebrated the special days of Clair Rodman, James Quackenbusch and Bernice Scott. We have a wide variety of volunteers that are here each week providing various services for the residents of PMC Extended Care. Up to five days a week there is a devotional or church services offered by one of the many volunteers that come through our doors. Don and Virginia Dryrud, Marie Ahmed, Conrad Baptist Church, Assembly of God Church, New Life Community Church, Pondera Valley Lutheran Church, Brady Methodist Church, and St. Michaels’ Catholic Church are all of the church or devotional ministries that have occurred throughout the month of September. Bingo in September saw Denny and Margurette winning blackout and Betty and Iris winning the cookie jar. We play pinochle every Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. and have a great time. The residents play lots of different card games and are always looking for new games to try, so if anyone out there knows a fun card game that you can teach us, call and we’ll give it a try. You can get a hold of anyone in the activity department by calling 271-2252 ext. 243.
