Athletic teams were able to begin practice this week and Conrad squads are no exception.
Under the direction of Head Coach Jennifer Schlepp, the volleyball teams hit the gym courts at 7 a.m. for the start of two-a-days on Monday. Schlepp will be assisted by Monica Tomayer, Molly Gemar, and Rebel Rilley.
Conrad opens their season on Aug. 24 with the Choteau tourney.
The Cowgirls go to Shelby and Chinook for contests before opening at home on Sept. 6 with the Lady Longhorns of Fort Benton.
There is a big group of ladies out for volleyball this year, 32 “With  a lot of (18) upper classmen,” says Schlepp.
The coach noted as well, “We’re going to be tough. We’re taller at all the positions than before and have a lot of depth, which isn’t often a luxury in Class B.”
Another date to mark on your calendar is Sept. 29, which will be Homecoming with the Shelby Coyotes coming to town.
A roster will be printed when it becomes available.
