Town meeting to address underage drinking PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 26 March 2008
A public Town Hall meeting to address the problem of underage drinking is scheduled to take place on March 31 from 7-9 p.m. at the Conrad High School commons.
Pondera County Health Nurse Cynthia Grubb is coordinating the meeting for which she says, “Conrad is one of only 2,000 communities across the U.S. that has been selected to hold a meeting this week.”  She went on to add, “This is an effort by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to prevent underage drinking and to address its issues.”
The public and anyone with concerns about the underage drinking should plan on attending.
Parents, team coaches, friends, law enforcement, teachers, church and youth group leaders are encouraged to be a part of this Town Hall meeting.
Locally, the CHS National Honor Society, the PCHD, the Pondera County DUI Task Force, the Pondera County Extension office, and Pondera County Safe Kids/Safe Communities have coordinated their efforts to make this meeting possible.
If you have questions or need more information, contact Grubb at 271-3247.
