UMS wrestlers top the field |

 DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONS – UMS wrestlers won the divisional title in Cut Bank the Thursday just before Easter. Taking place early, March 20, because of the Easter weekend, UMS matmen were in Cut Bank for their divisional tournament.
The Buckaroos squad made the trip home a short one after crushing the field for a championship title. “I’m proud of the team,” says Coach Kevin Moritz, “they all worked hard and came to wrestle.”
Along with host Cut Bank and Conrad, other participating towns were Valier, Belt, Browning, Cascade, Choteau, CJ-I, East Glacier, Shelby, Fort Benton, and Sun River.
Moritz added, “We brought home six first place plaques, two seconds, five thirds, and one fourth place.”
The top four places were team scores looked like this: Conrad 209, Fairfield 141.5, Choteau 140, and Sun River (no score available, just placing).
Following are the individual results and placing from the divisional meet, their season record, and for those graduating, their final UMS mat record.
65-80 WEIGHT CLASS
