Election of directors for the Brady County Water & Sewer District will be held Nov. 6.
Individuals interested in filing for the positions must be registered voters. In addition, the candidate must be a resident of or owner or lessee of real property in the district. These elections are non-partisan and there is no filing fee.
The Brady County Water And Sewer District Board has five members.
The current directors are Louie Bachmeier, Russell Leitheiser, Gladys “Pinky” Thaut, Michael Thompson and Jeri Lester. Bachmeier, Leitheiser and Thaut have all filed for re-election.
There are three postitions up for election this year and each Board member serves a four year term. The Brady County Water And Sewer District is comprised of that area within the boundaries of the Town of Brady.
Petitions for nomination are available at the Clerk and Recorder’s office in the Courthouse and require the signatures of at least 5 qualified electors of the district.
The filing deadline is 5 p.m., Aug. 23. If you have questions or need more information should contact the Clerk and Recorder’s office at 271-4000.
