By Deanna Wakkinen, I-O Reporter With this year’s theme, Fast Food Restaurants, the event is sure to sizzle. The festivities are already underway. For the students, Monday was ‘Backwards Day’, Tuesday was ‘Hippie Day’ and Wednesday was ‘Theme Day’. Other days this week are ‘Clash Day’, where polka dots and stripes are in, and the traditional ‘Red and White Day’ to show school spirit. Each class has picked their individual theme within Fast Food Restaurants and the seniors are representing McDonalds®. The juniors have chosen Burger King®, the sophomores are Chuck E. Cheese® and the freshman are Dairy Queen®. The main events for the Homecoming weekend start on Friday with a pep rally at 2:30 p.m. and the volleyball game at 4:15 p.m. against Cut Bank. On Saturday, you can catch the parade at 10 a.m. followed by the football game at 1 p.m. against Shelby. The crowning of the homecoming king and queen will be at halftime.
The Booster Club will be hosting a barbeque after the football game and there will be a dance that night from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Each class has chosen their royalty. The king and queen candidates for the senior class are Kesler Martin, son of Bruce and Kelly Martin, and Rashelle Johns, daughter of Mary and Jerry Johns. The junior class candidates are Clay Winters, son of Corey and Ginny Winters, and Meagan Breding, daughter of Everett and Karla Breding. The sophomore candidates are Sam Carroll, son of Jim and Celena Carroll, and Erica Grubb, daughter of Jay and Cynthia Grubb. The freshman candidates are Tanner Fuson, son of Jamie and Cindy Fuson, and Ciara Bender, daughter of Robert and Holly Bender.
