The Harvest Festival in Conrad sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce kicks off at 2 p.m. With a Beef and Bison cook-off on Main St.
Thee will be a cow-pie bingo, games and entertainment for kids of all ages.
There Conrad Transportation and Historical Museum will be open extra hours since this will be the final day of the Smithsonian Institute Traveling exhibit, Key Ingredients: America by Food.
The Montana Committee for the Humanities sponsored the showing with help from a grant by the Montana Department of Agriculture. The exhibit is about the history of food in America.
At 6 p.m. on Saturday the museum will be serving up an Oktoberfest style meal.
There will be Polish Sausage, German Potato salad, and German cookies, with hot dogs and chips for kids, along with samples of micro-brew beers and special malt products.
There is a nominal fee for the meal and museum admission.
Finish the evening with live music at Ed’s Tavern.
This is the final day to view the Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibit and see the new Conrad Transportation and Historical Museum.
The museum will be closing for the season following this event. Visits will be by appointment only until it reopens in the spring.
