Swim team captures third place in Cut Bank

    With 10 teams participating, the Conrad swim team raced to a third place at the Cut Bank meet over the weekend.
    Team places looked like this: 1. Shelby, 2. Columbia Falls, 3. Conrad, 4. Fort Benton, 5. Bitterroot, 6. Chester, 7. Cut Bank, 8. Choteau, 9. Fairfield, and 10. Sunburst.
    Highlighting the meet for the Conrad swimmers was Makayla Barringer who swam to three individual first places in the Junior division.
    Individual results for the Bantams went like this: Justin Rauscher 25 free-10th, 50 free-8th, 25 back-10th; Kale Larson 25 free-9th, 50 free-10th, 25 back-9th; Angel Dugan 25 free-11th, 50 free-10th; Andrea Russell 25 free-3rd; 25 fly-2nd; Dania Jones 100 IM-1st, 50 free-3rd, 25 fly-1st; Maggie Baldwin 50 free-6th, 25 back-6th; Allison Broesder 50 free-12th, 25 back-9th; Sheridan Johnson 50 free-11th, 25 back-7th, and Blake Larson 25 back-11th.
    In the 100m Free Relay, (A) Johnson, Baldwin, Broesder and Russell placed third. The (B) team of Jalynn Krause, Dugan, Naomi Yeager, and Jessica Kinnamon took sixth. In the 100m Medley Relay, Baldwin, Jones, Russell and Dugan placed first.
For the Midget racers, individual places looked like this: Nicole Erickson 100 IM-11th, 50 fly-7th; Kyleigh Salois 100 IM-8th, 50 breast-9th, 50 fly-4th; Krista Judisch 100 IM-3rd, 50 breast-3rd, 50 back-2nd; Brianna Zumbrun 100 IM-6th, 50 breast-8th, 50 fly-6th; Nolan Dugan 50 free-10th; Parker Larson 50 free-6th, 100 free-7th, 50 back-12th; Delaney Gilbert 50 free-7th, 50 breast-10th, 50 back-9th; Talia Shephens 50 free-3rd, 100 free-3rd, 50 back-3rd, Minda Baldwin 50 free-4th; Ivy Kinnamon 100 free-9th;  Hailey Yeager 100 free-10th; and Kinsey Harris 50 fly-11th.
    At the Midget relays, in the 100m Free, Larson, Rauscher, Larson and Dugan took third. The 100m Free (A) team of Salois, Zumbrun, Stephens, and Judisch placed second. The (B) team of Gilbert, Erickson, D. Jones and Baldwin were in first.
    The 100m Medley team (A) of Judisch, Zumbrun, Salois, and Stephens placed first. The 100m Medley (B) team of Baldwin, Kinsey Harris, Erickson, and Gilbert took fourth and the C team of Kinamon, R. Jones, Yeager, and Harris were in seventh.
    For the Junior racers, individual results ended up this way: Skylar Shirley 200 IM-1st, 50 breast-7th, 50 fly-9th; Makayla Barringer 200 IM-1st, 50 back-1st, 50 fly-1st; Kelci Watterud 200 IM-4th, 50 breast-10th, 50 fly-12th; Taryn Erickson 50 free-8th, 50 breast-6th, 50 back-6th; Jayde Richardson 50 free-2nd, 50 breast-3rd, 100 free-2nd; Lacey Jones 50 breast-4th, 50 back-N.A., Shane Larson 100 free-9th, 50 back-8th; Hayley Orcutt 10 free N.A., 50 back-5th, 50 fly-5th.
    At the relays, the 100 Free team (A) of Richardson, Orcutt, Erickson and Barringer raced to a first place. The B team of Judisch, Jones, Shirley and Watterud were fifth.
    The 100m Medley team (A) of Barringer, Erickson, Orcutt and Richardson were in first. The B team of Jones, Watterud, Shirley and Judisch took fourth.
    There was one swimmer in the Intermediate division, Kyle Linn. In the 50 free he was in twelfth place, 100 breast-8th, and 100 free-9th.
    In the Senior division, individual results came out like this: Melissa Barringer 50 free-1st, 100 breast-1st, 50 fly-5th; Jenny Silvernale 200 IM-2nd, 100 back-2nd, 400 free-4th; Laura Linn 200 IM-4th, 50 fly-4th; Andrew Lehnerz 50 free-3rd, 100 breast-8th, 100 free-4th; Shelby DeVries 50 free-7th, 100 free-4th, 400 free-2nd; Aaron Lehnerz 100 fly-5th, 50 fly-7th; and Logan Erickson 50 fly-11th.
    At the relays, for the 100m Free the team of Aaron Lehnerz, Linn, Erickson and Andrew Lehnerz took sixth. The 100m Medley team of Linn, A, Lehnerz, A. Lehnerz, and Erickson were sixth; the 100m free relay team of Silvernale, Linn, DeVries, and Barringer took first, and 100m Medley team of Silvernale, Barringer, Linn, and DeVries also placed first.
    This weekend the swim team is in Shelby for the final regular season meet.
