Lindberg boys rope way to paychecks

By Adam Jerome, I-O Reporter
While most of us were enjoying a relaxing 4th of July weekend, Beau and JC Lindberg were working their tails off to win some money at rodeos throughout the state.
Beau took his roping talents to the Wrangler Roping Event in Three Forks and JC was participating in the Choteau NRA Rodeo.
Both men ended up walking away with some prize money in the team roping events.  Beau and his partner ended up taking second out of over 560 teams of ropers.
What made Beau’s accomplishment all the more impressive was that he didn’t find out who his partner would be until he showed up in Three Forks.
At the Wrangler each cowboy showed up and participated in a partner blind draw.
Beau took home an impressive $1,500 and a buckle in the event which was staged over two days and included three separate runs.  This is Beau’s biggest pay day to date.
JC, who just started competing about three years ago and his partner Taylor Hickman took fourth out of 24 teams and walked away with $120 in winnings.
The Choteau rodeo is one of the most competitive NRA rodeos going during the 4th of July festivities.
Next up for JC will be the Helena NRA rodeo where he hopes to take the next step and bring home an even bigger purse.
JC is also a bull rider, which admittedly makes his grandfather Ralph nervous.
In a city whose mascot is the Cowboy it is nice to see a few members of the community living up to the moniker.
