‘Hot Flash’ heats up stage at Orpheum

   Hot Flash, a musical comedy produced by the Pondera Players and Pondera Arts council will be presented on three nights, Nov. 5-7, at the Orpheum Theatre/Wiegand Auditorium.
   The curtain will go up at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Tickets may be purchased at Olson’s or Village Drug or at the door.
   Parts of the proceeds will go to the Conrad Community Cancer Foundation.
   The principal actresses are Cynthia Ries, Kit Finlayson, Mary Ann Ries, and Wendy Paulsen.
   Other featured performers include Dede Brown, Martha Egeler, Tom Kinyon; reading by Jo Ann Cobb, Charlene Hammerbacker, Charlene Bouma, and Linda O’Brien.
   Colin Vietch is doing duty as the MC for the evening.
   In a talent portion, four Red Hatters dance and some Old lady walkers appear.
   There are 23 folks that make up the cast and more working behind stage and scene.
   Although the story line may have more adult appeal, everyone is welcome to attend.
   Conrad’s multi-talented director, producer and writer Phyllis Ann Philipps has also composed three songs for the production.
   Two of them are This Moment and Empty Nest.
   The production is based on trials and tribulations which are resolved through humor, friendship and lighter moments that show the brighter side of life.
   Come and see how Philipps has brought laughs into a serious side of life.
