The Rocky Mountain Riders Club was chosen as the 2009 HCMA (High Country Motocross Association) Track of the Year by the riders of the HCMA.
The riders on tracks around the “Big Sky” vote on this award. Over 300 riders cast a ballot for one of the 11 tracks in the state.
The awards banquet was held in Bozeman on Oct. 17, at which time the riders received their trophies (1st thru 7th), Rider of the Year, Dealer of the Year and Track of the Year.
“The RMRC was truly surprised and honored by this award since this was our first race in the HCMA and we had hoped that we had put on a great race,” commented Debbie Hicks of Pure Bliss Cycle, one of the sponsors of the local race.
She went on to add, “Also, we have read several comments on the HCMA website about the people
that helped at the race and it was very positive which speaks highly of the people of Conrad and surrounding areas that helped.”
Besides receiving a plaque, the club will have first pick of when they want to host the 2010 HCMA race at the track and that meeting will be held on Jan. 3, 2010 in Helena.
So if you have someone that likes to ride and you are looking for a great birthday or Christmas gift, buy them a year membership to the RMRC.
Dues are $50 a year for single, $80 a year for family, or $10 a day per machine for a day pass.
