By Adam Jerome, I-O Reporter
32 josiah The Conrad Cowboys ended their season in October as the Cowboys rode a two game win streak into the off season.

While they missed the playoffs there were still some noteworthy accomplishments that need to be mentioned.

Senior Cowboy quarterback Josiah Moerkerke and Senior wide receiver Nate Gage both racked up more than a few accolades.  Moerkerke and Gage both set single game and single season records.

Moerkerke set the single game record for most touchdown passes with seven against Cascade and also set the season record for most completions with 111.

Gage rewrote the receiving record books as he set the single season receptions record with 52 and the season receiving touchdown record with 11.

Gage and Moerkerke also shared the team Offensive MVP award at the football banquet, which was voted on by the players.

Senior Paul O’Brien received the Defensive MVP award and senior running back Brandon Philipps took home both the Hardest Worker and Most Inspirational awards.
Sophmore Joe Ries was voted Rookie of the Year and Senior Rhett Orcutt took home the Most Improved award.

After the post season was completed the coaches voted on All-Conference and All-State honors.  Four Cowboys were named to the prestigious lists.

On offense, Gage was named second-team All-Conference and Moerkerke was named to the All-State team.

On defense O’Brien was first team All-Conference and Ries was named to the second-team, quite an honor for a sophomore.
In the end all the players and coaches should be proud of the hard work and massive amount of time they each put in to make this another memorable year of Cowboy football.
