Applications are being accepted for the annual scholarship given by the Montana Association of Clerks and Recorders.

A $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded to one Montana applicant.  Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a Montana university, college or vocational-technical school.

Applications are judged on the basis of need, scholarship and school and civic involvement.

Application forms are available from the guidance counselors of all high schools in Pondera County and from the Clerk and Recorder’s office at the county courthouse.

The winner will be notified after May 1, 2010 and the scholarship will be paid directly to the school once the student has been accepted by the school.

Completed applications must be returned to the County Clerk and Recorder, Janice Hoppes, no later than March 15, 2010.

Students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship and return the completed application by the March 15 deadline.

If you have any questions, you may contact the guidance counselor at your high school or Hoppes, Clerk and Recorder, at 271-4000.
