The Whoop-Up golf tournament at the Pondera Golf Club on Friday had 14 four person teams playing golf.

It was one of the better turnouts for the four person scramble.

At the end of the round there was a tie between two teams of young sticks, each with an amazing 15 under par for the 6,516 yard par 72 layout.

The team of Shawn Brown, Ryan Eisenzimer, TJ Bennyhoff and Ratliff from Fairfield were knotted in a tie with Lane and Ross Judisch and Joe and Jeremiah Pearson.

In a chip-off to determine the winner, it was Brown, Eisenzimer, Bennyhoff and Ratliff in first place. This marked the fourth year in a row that Brown and Eisenzimer were a part of the winning team.

Third place went to Miles Steinbach, Derek Lean, Taylor Ratliff and Ryan McHenry.

The team of Lynn Utterback, Todd Truscott, Craig Barringer and Jill Swanson put together a round of 61 helped by a deuce at the 200 yard par three third hole that was inches from going in the cup.

The team of Chris, Judy and Kyle Ellis and Joe O’Brien also shot a fine 61 with an eagle at the first hole.

Vanessa Bucklin, Courtney Ellefsen, J. Wheeler and Melissa VanDyke were in with a 14 over par. They had way too much fun out on the course.
