Swimmers glide to 4th place at Bitterroot invitational

The Conrad swimmers, 38 strong, placed fourth over the weekend at the Bitterroot swim meet.

Team places overall looked like this: 1st Bitterroot, 2nd Columbia Falls, 3rd Shelby, 4th Conrad, 5th Cut Bank 6th Chester, 7th Fairfield, 8th Fort Benton, 9th Glasgow, 10th Chinook, 11th Plains and 12th Malta. There were 289 simmers participating in the swim meet.

Makayla Barringer and Andrea Russell both took home high point honors. Barringer also broke a pool record in the 100m back with a time of 1:19.19. The old record was 1:20.12  which was set in 2005.

Individual and team relay results went like this:


Jette Pruttis 3rd, 100 IM, 3rd 25 breast, 4th 25 fly; Ronnie Barnhill 10th 25 free, 7th 50 free, 5th 25 back; Jessica Kinamon 2nd 25 free, 5th 25 breast, 1st back; Roper Mycke 12th 50 free, 11th 25 back; Riley Yeager 10th 50 free; Allison Broesder 2nd 50 free, 2nd 25 fly, 2nd 100 IM; Hayden Dugan 8th 25 back; Naomi Yeager 7th 25 fly.

In the boys’ 100m free relay the team of Barnhill, Yeager, Mycke and Pruttis placed second. The girls’ 100m free A team, Kinamon, Yeager, Jaylnn Krause and Broesder took second and the B team of Larson, Broesder, Dugan and Russell were in sixth place.

In the girls’ 100m free relay, the team of Jones, Mycke, Johnson and Russell placed first. In the 100m Medley, Johnson, Mycke, Jones and Russell also placed first.


Krista Judisch 3rd 200 IM, 2nd 50 breast, 4th 50 back; Kyleigh Salois 2nd 200 IM, 3rd 50 breast, 2nd 50 fly; Nicole Erickson 6th 200 IM, 5th 100 free, 7th 50 fly; Hunter Mycke 4th 50 free, 2nd 50 fly; Nolan Dugan 11th 50 free, 7th 50 breast, 4th 50 back; Kinsey Harris 10th 50 free, 12th 50 breast; Parker Larson 9th 50 breast, 10th 100 free, 9th 50 back; Hailey Yeager 11th 50 breast; Raelynn Jones 9th 50 breast; Hunter Nesbo 5th 100 free, 3rd 50 back; Ivy Kinamon 9th 100 free, 10th 50 back; Raelynn Jones 8th 100 free, 9th 50 breast.

In the 200m girls’ Medley relay, the team of Jones, Judisch, Salois, and Erickson swan to a first place.

In the 200m relay, the A team of Erickson, Harris, Richardson and Judisch placed third and the B team of Barringer, Shirley, Watterud and Kinamon took second.

The next meet for the Conrad swimmers is closer to home as they just go up the road to Shelby.
