Cowgirls stopped by Fairfield

The Conrad volleyball squad continued to have troubles on the court and fell to Fairfield this past week in straight games by scores of 23-25, 20-25, and 10-25.

Brittany Greyn led the offense side with four of seven aces.

Emily Weisgram slammed back five kill shots with Rashelle Johns and Taylor Judisch each having four. Johns also blocked three shots at the net.

Taylor Johnson dished up eight assists and Greyn six. Johnson and Johns each had three digs for the team.

On the JV side, the junior varsity lost their match in four games by scores of 21-25, 25-17, 13-15, 11-15.

T.  Judisch served up five aces and Shanae Newmiller three. Newmiller also had six of the team’s 13 kill shots.

T. Judisch blocked six shots and Ciara Bender put back four. She also had four digs.

Justine Desjardine put up six of 12 assists.

The C squad lost their match, 3-2, by scores of 19-25, 25-22, 12-15, 15-10, 8-15.

Lacy Jones put over three aces while Haley Orcutt and Morgan VanDyke each had a pair. VanDyke and Kelci Watterud each had four kills and Jones blocked three shots.

Orcutt dished up eight assists and VanDyke had eight digs.

Conrad has a big schedule this week. Thursday the team plays rival Choteau on the ‘Dawgs court, Friday Rocky Boy comes in for a visit and Saturday the Cowgirls ride up to Havre and play the Class A Blue Ponies.  Action there begins at 2 p.m.
