AUTUMN COLORS — The fall season is upon us and that means the changing of the leaves. The super splash of color, a Horse Chestnut Tree, is at the Carl Vietch residence on the corner of First St. South and Main Street. He tells us that while you can’t eat the chestnuts, long ago, Indians used them to make maize. Photo courtesy of Mike Bashor
Conrad Mission Church is pleased to announce our Fall Women’s Conference Saturday, Oct. 9 at 9 a.m.
This year’s theme is With All My Heart. “ We would like to extend an invitation to the women of our community and the surrounding communities,” says Pastor Pete Wetendorf.
The featured speaker is Kristen Wisen.
Her passion is teaching women. She has taught Women’s Bible Studies for over a decade and has served in a lay counseling ministry for the past four years.
Recently, she has taught women’s conferences in both Liberia and Israel. Wisen grew up in the Chicago area and has been married to her high school sweetheart, David, for 27 years. She has six children, three of whom were adopted from Romania.
Currently, she and David are in the process of planting a church in Spring Lake, Mich. with Carolyn Moeller and her husband. She has written two end times novels. Her most current book on the character of Christ has been published in Hebrew.
Carolyn Moeller, a musician, worship director, and song-writer is returning to her home church to lead us in vertical worship of our Savior.
She is the daughter of Pastor Peter and Lori Wetendorf. Carolyn and her husband, Chris, have both served with the worship ministry at Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago and now are involved in planting a church in Michigan with Kristen and her husband.
“We, at the Conrad Mission Church, would like to invite you to join us Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. for this fantastic seminar,” said Wetendorf.
There cost is a minimal fee per person which includes lunch. The church will be providing childcare. “We look forward to serving, encouraging and worshiping with you,” the pastor added.
