The Pondera Medical Center along with Pondera County has recently purchased a new state-of –the art ambulance to replace the rig that was purchased in 1985.
The old ambulance was given to the Pondera County Search and Rescue.
The new ambulance has a bigger box providing more space for patient care and is equipped with a cardiac monitor/defibrillator and fluid warmer. Another new safety feature is the reverse back-up monitor.
Pondera Medical Center is the only dedicated Trauma Receiving Center within the Golden Triangle. PMC ambulance service is staffed by 20 dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians.
The EMT’s working for PMC have received endorsements in IV starts, some medications, glucose monitoring and advanced airway management to name a few.
The new ambulance and PMC’s Trauma Designation provides for outstanding service enhancing patient care in the pre-hospital and Emergency Room setting.
You may have noticed that the new ambulance was at the football field for the Conrad-Shelby game on Friday evening.
