The annual Conrad Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll has a full plate of activities planned for the Dec. 4 event.
New to the table will be a Santa Run sponsored by the TRC Striders.
Registration for the one mile family run or 5K race starts at 9 a.m. and runners will take off at 9:30 a.m. from Legion Park and end there as well.
There is a prize of $30 in Chamber dollars for the top male and female in the 5K. The registration fee is $10 plus a can of food for the Food Pantry.
If you have questions or need more information, contact Chris Vermulm at Farm Credit Services, 278-4620.
For your shopping pleasure and Christmas goodies, vendors and crafts people will be set up in The Lobby, Joe’s Steakhouse and the Pondera Village Shopping center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Stockman Bank will host the effervescent Mr. Santa Claus in their lobby from 1-3 p.m. so that little ones can get a jump on Holiday wishes.
There will be horse-drawn wagon rides up and down Main Street from 1-5 p.m.
The Conrad Public Library will present a piano recital from 2-4 p.m., upstairs.
The Conrad High School sophomore class is going to put on a Kid’s Carnival in the Meadowlark School all-purpose from 3-5 p.m., 17 3rd Ave. SW.
At 3 p.m. the Home Café will start serving up chili and cinnamon rolls. The cost is a donation or food item for the Food Pantry. It’s a great place to get out of the cold, warm up a little and then hit the trail to other events.
At 5:30 p.m. the Christmas Card Board Parade will take off from Mike’s Mufflers and More at 709 S. Main St. Entries and floats will make their way to 4th Ave. SW and disband at the courthouse
The only criteria is that your entry must use card board. Call the CofC for more information.
At 6 p.m. you can gather in front of the courthouse for the traditional Christmas tree lighting.
The Orpheum Theatre/Weigand Auditorium will be showing a Christmas movie with a starting time of 7 p.m.
From 7-9 p.m. the Christmas Tree and Wreath auction will take place at the Moose Lodge, wrapping up the day’s events.
Proceeds from the auction go towards the purchasing of new Christmas street decorations.
Always a popular place to stop by is the Conrad Lions Grill in the parking lot at Pure Bliss Cycle Sales, located across the street from the Shopping Center.
The “Whoop-Up” burgers are mouth watering and with their barrel fires, you can warm the cockles of your heart.
