Saturday the annual Chamber Area of Commerce Christmas Stroll helps kick in the Holiday Season.

Check out the CofC ad on page 12 of this week's I-O for another time-line of events.

Not in the ad is the opening of a new business on Main St. in the former Dollar Store, 412 S. Main Street, at 5 p.m. The new owners of Creative Addictions are Melody Campbell and Kit Finlayson.

Stop by and check it out and say, “Howdy!”

And, there is something a little different going on with the Christmas Tree Auction.

For the tree auction, Conrad Tire and Olson’s Drug are decorating a tree. The tree will be auctioned like all the others, however, Conrad Tire and Olson’s Drug will match whatever it auctions for, up to $1,000.

On the tree will be gift certificates and who ever purchases the tree will not keep the tree, but will get all the gift certificates on the tree instead of the tree itself.

The tree will be displayed at Courtesy Ford, 514 S. Main St. The two businesses matching funds will benefit the local Cancer Foundation.

If you would like to donate a gift certificate(s) for the tree, contact Molly Boch at the CofC office, 271-7791 or Bev Widhalm at Conrad Tire, 278-3422 or by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
