No action on ‘emergency’ by commission

At the regular meeting of the county commissioners on Wednesday there was a limited discussion on what constitutes an ‘emergency’ for snow removal.

No action was taken and the commissioners will be working on this topic later.

There was one abatement approved for $298.21 for a property that was taxed twice in error.

Do you need some glass panels? The Commissioners have declared two 4x8, three 5x8 one quarter inch thick plate glass windows and two doors as surplus property.

They come from the remodeling project of the Community Senior Center on Virginia.

If interested, contact any one of the commissioners, Cyndi  Johnson, Sandy Broesder or Joe Christiaens.

A report from Jeanne Moon, county treasurer was accepted showing the investments made.

The commission meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in their office to conduct regular business. The public is always invited and encouraged to attend.

The next after-hours listening session is on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the commissioners’ office at the courthouse.
