The Conrad Christian School (CCS) will be using Norley Hall for their annual Science Fair.
There are 30 projects with at least 40 students coming into Conrad on March 4, for the event from Dupuyer and Valier Elementary Schools and homeschoolers from Conrad and Choteau.
There are, presently, six judges to look over the projects. The public is invited to come and view the projects after lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m. when the awards are scheduled to begin.
The judging will take place in the morning.
There was some confusion about CCS using Norley Hall for their Science Fair. The agenda for the council meeting on Feb. 12 had in their agenda #12 item, discussion/action on “Conrad Christian School request for use of Norley Hall.”
What CCS was asking was a free-use day of Norley Hall of which the city has 12, which was not mentioned in the agenda.
The date for the CCS Science Fair at Norley Hall was already approved at a previous meeting.
The city, through a contract agreement with Horizon Lodge, has 12-free days of use per calendar year of Norley Hall. CCS was requesting a free-day use, but with nine free day-uses already passed out and this being only February, the council voted against granting one to CCS.
It should be noted the school was asked to try again next year for a free-day use of the hall.
