A spring choral concert

The Pondera Arts Council (PAC) is sponsoring a Spring Choral Concert on Palm Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m. in the Orpheum Theatre/Wiegand Auditorium in Conrad.

Participants will feature the 20 voice A.N.G.E.L.S. choir from Conrad and a seven member male ensemble from Missoula named Rocky Shoals.

Music performed will include Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho, God Bless America, It is Well With My Soul, Jesus Loves Me, He Lifted Me, How Can I Keep From Singing and more.

The Missoula group will sing seven short sea chanties. Soloists from Conrad are Cary Combs, Shannon Garman and Dede Brown.

A special duet will be sung by Diane Hould from Shelby and Dan Comstock of Missoula.

Hould is a former soloist with the Great Falls Symphonic Choir and Comstock directed the Great Falls group for several years.

Kit Finlayson, accompanist extraordinaire, will play the piano as well as being the overall producer.

Chary Majerus will accompany three numbers of the male ensemble on the flute.  Directors include Comstock, Hould, Helen Elliott and Tammy Stanley.

Elliott, the PAC president states, “You don’t want to miss this delightful afternoon of beautiful music”.

Ticket revenue will help pay upkeep of the theatre and expenses of the Missoula men’s ensemble.
