Craig Philip Broesder, age 43, is seeking one of two open positions on the District 10 school board.
Broesder was born and raised in Conrad and was self employed in the trucking business before going to work for Zomer Truck Company. He has been with Zomer for the past seven years and is the shop foreman.
He went through the school system in Conrad and is a graduate of Conrad High School
He is the president of the Rocky Mountain Riders Club and a board member of the Golden Triangle Gymnastics Club in Conrad.
This is his first run at an elected office and he tells the I-O, “As an active parent in our community and in my children’s lives, I am determined to be a part of every child’s success in the Conrad school system.”
He went on to add, “In today’s complicated society and the students ever changing needs, I feel I have the ability to be a team player and help make those positive decisions that will help provide solutions to problems that arise.”
Broesder commented, “I am committed to putting in the time and energy into working for the good of the entire community. Conrad is a great city to live in and I will do my part in continuing to make our school system be successful.”
He and his wife Tawnya, whom he has been married to for 12 years, have four children who were and are enrolled in the Conrad school system; step-sons Zack 22, Ryan 17, and daughters Allison nine and Natalie seven.
The trustee/school election will be held May 3. Voters may cast their ballots from noon until 8 p.m. at the CHS commons, 308 S. Illinois.
