Conrad community Good Friday services

A Community Good Friday service will be offered by the Conrad Ministerial Association April 22 from 12:05 to 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, corner of Fourth Avenue and Maryland.

Conrad area pastors will join together to offer a worship service on the occasion of Good Friday, the day Christ was crucified.

The service will feature the reading of the passion of Christ from the Gospel of Mark with a sermon from Pastor Jack Gray of the Conrad Christian Reformed Church, entitled, The Compelling Cross. Cary Combs will sing a vocal solo entitled, Why?

Other ministers participating in the service will be Pastor Larry Goyette of Abundant Life Christian Center, Pastor Charlie Clifton of the Conrad Baptist Church, Pastor Peter Wetendorf of the Conrad Mission Church, Pastor Dale Janzen of New Life Community Church, Pastor Michael Sculley of Pondera Valley Lutheran Church and Rev. Kirk Kestler of First Presbyterian Church.

This is a non-denominational service to which everyone is invited.

Maundy Thursday to be celebrated

The Brady United Methodist Church will celebrate Maundy Thursday on April 21 at 6 p.m. with a soup supper and service. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper when Jesus gave the new commandment to love one another as he loved us. The service will conclude with communion.

April 24 at 9:15 a.m. we will celebrate Easter and the joy of the resurrection. Everyone is invited to attend these services. Children are always welcome.

 

Holy Week schedule for Conrad Lutheran Parish

Maundy Thursday, April 21 will be a joint worship with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church.

It will also be First Communion for several youth.  The next evening, Good Friday, the Tenebrae Service will also be at Pondera Valley at 7 p.m.

Resurrection Sunday will be celebrated at Golden West at 8 a.m. with a potluck breakfast following the service.

At 9 a.m. at Pondera Valley, there will be a free-will breakfast by the Junior and Senior Leagues who are raising money for a whitewater rafting trip this summer.

Worship with Holy Communion will be at 10:30 a.m.  Visitors are always welcome!

 

Easter Sunday celebration at First Presbyterian

The joy of Easter will be celebrated at First Presbyterian Church in Conrad at 11 a.m. Easter Sunday worship service on  April 24.

The choir will present an anthem, Alive Forevermore and Rob Lettenga will sing a vocal solo.   Rev. Kestler’s sermon will be entitled, God Came Back.

The community is invited to come and celebrate the joy of the resurrection of our Jesus Christ at First Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Fourth Avenue and Maryland in Conrad.

 

Mission Church Easter weekend schedule

The Conrad Mission Church extends an open invitation to everyone to attend any of their services this Easter weekend.

On April 22 there will be a special Good Friday service at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, there will be a Communion service at 9 a.m. followed by a breakfast at 9:30.

The Easter Morning Worship service is at 10:45 a.m.

As always, everyone is invited to these non-denominational services where God is glorified, the Bible is taught and people receive hope and encouragement.
