Spokane Melody singers in concert

The 23-voice male singers from the Spokane area will perform at the Orpheum Theatre-Wiegand Auditorium on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.

This program is part of the fall Harvest Festival.

The choir came and sang during Whoop-Up Trail Days several years ago, singing Saturday morning at the Lions Club breakfast and in an evening concert.

The volunteer group, formed many years ago, sings patriotic numbers along with Western and gospel music. They are billed as Men of Faith who perform songs of praise and honor to God and country.

A very popular group in the Northwest, the Spokane Melody Singers have several concerts already scheduled for this fall.

Our former Superintendent of Schools, Bob Singleton, is a member of the group.

Helen Elliott, president of Pondera Arts Council, recalls that the singers remember all the veterans and build a grand patriotic pride in the USA.

See you there.
