After the second reading of Ordinance #403, with no public comment made, the city council approved the ordinance and it will become effective Nov. 1. The ordinance relates to the adoption of state building codes.
Chief Gary Dent reported there were 174 calls for service in the month of September. Among them were six residential security checks, five domestic incidents, 18 misdemeanors, two felonies and 20 various public assists. There are five dogs and nine cats in the pound.
Two building permits were presented with approval by Wally Larson, residential building inspector.
A map was presented with the infrastructure for the East Industrial Park that has been approved by the Montana Department of Transportation.
The Public Works Director reported that the water leaks at the ball fields have been repaired.
The city pool has been drained and two employees are at water school and one employee is taking a class for pool certification.
Mayor Wendy Judisch, Alderman Ron Widhalm and Finance Officer Agnes Fowler have attended the annual conference for the Montana League of Cities and Towns.
