For 11 Conrad seniors it was the last time on the Cowboy football field.
The visiting Cut Bank Wolves put a spoil on the evening, stopping the home boys, 40-13.
Cut Bank scored on their first possession in six plays on a one yard run by Tyler Olinger. The PAT was good and the Wolves led 7-0.
Conrad came right back on what was their second possession. Clay Winters took the kick-off out to the 34 yard line for good field position.
In just three plays quarterback Joe Ries found Ben Moerkerke for a score. The two-point PAT was no good and the Wolves led 7-6.
In the second period, Cut Bank broke the game wide open with 19 unanswered points to carry a 26-6 advantage to the locker room at the break.
The two teams played a scoreless third quarter. Down the stretch Ries snapped off his second TD pass of the game to Moerkerke from 15 yards out. It was also Moerkerke’s second TD catch of the contest.
The Cowboys gained 271 yards of total offense, 196 in the air ways and 75 on the ground. The Wolves picked up 350 yards of offense and moved their record to 2-1, 4-3 while the Cowboys fell to 1-2, 3-4 overall.
Lucas Schultz led the defense with 17.5 tackles and Sam Larson at 15.5 tackles.
