State to hold broadband meeting

The State of Montana and Sweetgrass Development are hosting an internet access and capabilities (broadband) planning workshop.

The purpose of the workshop is to assist the State in identifying Montana’s specific needs as they relate to the development of a statewide broadband plan.  As part of the planning process, the Montana Broadband Program staff is organizing regional meetings across the state.

The meetings will be attended by citizens and industry stakeholders from Montana communities that have an interest in the development of broadband services as it relates to such areas as public safety, healthcare, education, emergency services, business development and establishing jobs in Montana.

 

Expected outcomes from the meetings will be increased broadband awareness, identification of key strategic applications, and the development of regional broadband action plans.

 

Sweetgrass Development is hosting the workshop for residents in Pondera, Cascade, Glacier,  Teton and Toole counties.  Meeting details follow:

Meeting will be held on   Nov. 1, from 11 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Meeting Room at Chili’s/Macaroni Grill, 1420 Marketplace Drive, Great Falls.
