Nov. 8 is election day for the City of Conrad and Town of Valier.
The election is a Vote-By-Mail election and no polling places will be open. Ballots were mailed to eligible voters on Oct. 17 and should have received by now. If you are a resident of Conrad or Valier and did not receive a ballot in the mail, call the Clerk and Recorder’s office and tell them your situation.
The office has had ballots returned by the post office as undeliverable or forward expired mail and has been contacting voters they are able to locate.
Turnout has been light in the two elections at approximately 20 percent overall. The ballots need to be returned to the Clerk and Recorder’s office by 8 p.m. on Nov. 8 in order to be counted.
If you have questions or need more information, please contact the Clerk and Recorder’s office, located on the main floor of the Courthouse, or call 271-4000.
