From a town rich on values and community comes our ‘Spotlight on Business’ which highlights a business, gives emphasis on their contributions to our community and remembers their history.
After being raised in Conrad and graduating from CHS in 1984, Matthew Wittmier decided that a one hour commute in Minnesota wasn’t worth his time. He returned, with his family, in 1993 and began working for Don’s Body Shop. He had been in the body repair business since 1985.
Matthew and his wife Pam decided to take the plunge and invest in their own business in the fall of 2000 and began building what is now 4U Collision Center. The construction was finished in April 2001.
Providing services in auto body repair and paint as well as windshield replacement and repair, 4U promotes quality work and says the biggest thing about being a business in a small town is customer service.
4U Collision currently employs Kenn Hohman and Chris Ostrom as well as Matt’s father Allen, and all four of the Wittmier children. Their oldest daughter Brittnee works full time while Annabell, Cordell and Ethan give a hand while not in school or at extracurricular activities.
4U Collision stands by their motto “Where we work for you” and is ASE, Automotive Service Excellence, and PPG, Programs Paint Technician, certified. They are also active within the Conrad Area Chamber of Commerce, Ag Days, Booster Club, sponsoring local events including Whoop-Up, are coaches and leaders in school activities and support the schools and sports in any way they can.
They can be reached at 278-4444 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
