Agnes Fowler was recently named as the City Clerk of the Year.
She has worked for her community as a Financial Officer for the City of Conrad for the past 11 years.
In this position she has worked with all Montana funding agencies to acquire adequate funding for her community to insure reasonable water and sewer rates.
Among her many accomplishments and achievements, she has also been instrumental in the past years in helping Montana Rural Water Systems develop topics for municipal clerks at their annual conferences.
In addition she is currently serving her third year as secretary-treasurer of the Montana League of Cities and Towns and has been on their Audit committee since 2004.
Other accomplishments include obtaining her certifications in both the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and Association of Public Treasurer for the U.S. and Canada and is a certified Montana Municipal Finance Officer.
As well, Fowler has served on the MMIA Audit Committee since January 2004.
She had previously worked for Pondera County in the treasurer’s office for over 20 years, last serving as the Deputy Treasurer.
She and her husband, Tony, have been married for 37 years. They have two sons, and they also have two granddaughters.
