The local Radio Shack known locally as “Jathco” was started in 1981 by Jim Aitken and Terry Hawkinson.

The current owners of Jathco are Tracy Sheeler and Colleen Moritz, who are gearing up for their busy season.

Moritz says, “we are unique and different from other Radio Shack’s because our main focus is with our computer store which does computer service, repair and resale.

Employee Wendi Dayrider has been a part of Jathco for four and a half years.  Brenda Aitken has been an employee four years.

Employee Bernard Ries handles the Dish Network while Brian Garnett handles all radio equipment.

Services provided include computer networking and repair and sales, Verizon cell phones and Dish network.

Dayrider says “We carry “everyday items so we can provide our community with the necessities to keep local Conrad businesses supplied.”

They reach out to the community with Radio Shack ads and I-O advertising, in addition to supporting the Conrad Chamber of Commerce and giving donations to support community benefits.
