Under the direction of Celeste Stott, students and parents went through a program called Let’s Play Music.
Students strived to practice five days a week in order to learn their note names, master certain songs and pass written theory tests.
“The program builds a foundation built upon layers of musical concepts added in certain order,” explains Stott.
Cadhla Norris, age nine, a home schooled student won the best ABA Form for her composition, Robbers The piece was entered in the National Let’s Play Music Composition competition.
She was one of five chosen from 85 submitted compositions.
Her original composition was chosen from her graduating class of 24 students by a group of music educators to be submitted in the National Competition.
She is the daughter of Steve and Angie Norris of Conrad.
Also in the program from our area were brothers Bowen and Johnny Rappold of Dupuyer. Their parents are John and Becky Rappold.
