Health Fair right around the corner

Mark your calendar, the annual Pondera Medical Center (PMC) Community Health Fair is scheduled for Aug. 1, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 416 S. Kansas.

There is no charge to attend the Health Fair; it is a free event for the community put on by the PMC.

If for no other reason than this major feature everyone should plan on attending.

The PMC will have a blood screening and PSA tests which can be done for $40 each (panel and PSA), for a total cost of $80.

The price remains unchanged from last year and is the bargain of a lifetime.

The PMC will not bill you or your insurance company; the test(s) needs to be paid for at the time you register. If requested, information for your insurance company can be provided.

Also on tap are the representatives from a number of PMC departments to answer and discuss health issues.

An always popular feature of the Fair is the arrival of the Mercy Flight helicopter from Great Falls. Weather permitting and if it has no calls to go to, watch for the ‘chopper’ to drop into the parking lot.

There will be other public safety and fire equipment on display and door prizes will be given away throughout the Fair.

Also, be on the lookout for new disaster equipment purchased from grant funds the hospital received from the Montana Department of Health and Human Services.
