Christmas cancer tree gone but not forgotten

For the past several years the Conrad Area Chamber of Commerce has been very gracious to allow several businesses to decorate and auction a tree for the local Cancer Foundation.

This year those businesses have chosen to sponsor another worthy group, CASA which includes Pondera, Glacier, Toole, and Teton counties.

This year there will be teddy bears for the public to purchase for sponsorship. The bears will be given to children involved with CASA.

Under the tree will be filled with presents for children that have been donated or purchased at local businesses.

The high bidder of the tree will received these presents, gift certificates and Chamber bucks to finish your Christmas shopping or buy that turkey for dinner.

CASA will then receive 100 percent of the bidding money from this tree.

Consider helping this wonderful cause by sponsoring a bear, donating a child’s toy or bidding on the tree.

If several people want to bid together on the tree they could split the gifts and anything you can’t use could be donated to your local church’s giving tree or school to spread the holiday cheer a little further.

This year’s auction will be held at 712 S. Main in the old G&D Hardware building on Nov. 30.

Bears will be for sale at Olson’s Drug. Conrad Building Center, and Conrad Tire until Nov. 21.

Next year, the CofC will go back to sponsoring the Cancer Foundation.
