Dawn Wagoner is the Administrative Assistant at the Shelby Youth Dynamics office. Wagoner said, “This office in conjunction with local Juvenile Probation offices are running a toy drive for children we serve.”
Wagoner explained, “For the toy drive, there will be gift tags available at the Conrad and Cutbank Juvenile Probation offices and the Shelby Youth Dynamics office.” She added, “These gift tags have a child’s age, gender and toy preference. Community members can go to one of the three offices and pick up a tag then return the gift unwrapped with the tag.”
Youth Dynamics (YDI) is a Montana non-profit with nearly 30 years experience serving youth (ages 0-18) with behavioral health issues.
The coat drive and other donations have several drop off locations in the area.
All donated items collected will be given to children and teens in the Conrad, Shelby, Cut Bank and other nearby towns.
Additional drop off points for donations will be in all five of the Northern Montana Insurance Services offices located in Conrad, Shelby, Cut Bank, Choteau and Great Falls.
Youth Dynamic locations are as follows: Conrad Juvenile Probation at the Courthouse, 20 4th Ave. SW; Shelby Youth Dynamics at 118 4th Avenue South; and Cut Bank Juvenile Probation at 512 East Main.
Please make sure the coats are new or gently-used. New or gently-used hats, scarves, gloves, snow boots and blankets are also needed.
Anyone donating items can fill out a raffle ticket for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to a local business to be drawn on Nov. 16.
Youth Dynamics will distribute the items to area children and families.
In Choteau, the Catholic Church will distribute the items collected.
